Founded by the 10th Duke of Beaufort in 1949, Badminton Horse Trials is one of the world’s greatest equestrian events. Riders train for international events including cross country, dressage and show jumping. Around two hundred thousand spectators attended last year’s 70th anniversary. The Badminton Shopping Village is also featured where you can buy everything equestrian related from the onsite trade stands as you stroll along Worcester Way or Deer Park Drive.
Badminton Retreat
The Badminton Retreat is proudly returning to the Badminton Estate to provide exclusive private glamping for attendees of this year’s Badminton Horse Trials. Now in its 71st Year, the prestigious three day International competition held at the Gloucestershire Estate will again receive entrants from all over the world.

Relax in luxurious comfort and enjoy the competitiveness of the highest level of equestrian sporting action and glamour. Situated at Huntsmans Close on the cross country course, accommodation is fully furnished and ideal for all attendees including Officials and Exhibitors. Founders Barny and Emily Lee are a husband and wife partnership and their secure boutique glamping site will include Luxmode super deluxe en-suite Safari Tents. There are also traditional canvas Bell Tents and Safari Tent Houses to choose from. LED lanterns, Electric lighting, heating and power points are available and after watching the thrilling sporting prowess of the day, you can enjoy VIP Evenings in the Retreat restaurant and bar featuring guests and speakers. Pamper room, chill-out area, toilets, showers and hot and cold tubs will also be supplied.
There are six night stays available from Tuesday to Monday if you plan to make the most of the Bank Holiday.
